| About: | |||
| Gena Kukartsev has received his B.S. and M.S. in physics from Novosibirsk State University in 1998 and 2000, respectively, where he studied properties of light vector mesons with the SND-2 experiment at the VEPP-2M electron-positron collider at Budker Institute for Nuclear Physics. In 2000 he has been accepted to the PhD program in physics at UC Berkeley. In Berkeley, Gena chose as a topic for his graduate study rare processes involving B mesons with the BaBar collider experiment at SLAC. Gena has received his PhD degree in 2007. He is now employed as a postdoctoral research associate by Brown University and participates in the CMS experiment at CERN. |

| Gennadiy participates in the CMS experiment with the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, being a part of the Brown University CMS project. The areas of involvement include beyond the Standard Model resonances searches, top quark physics analyses, statistical interpretation of the measurements. Gennadiy contributes to the ongoing CMS experiment operations by participating in development and maintenance of the databases for the CMS hadronic calorimeter. | |||
